'Catching Feelings'

She caught my attention when she walked past me in town... She caught my attention whilst on the dance floor. She was doing the 'Azonto' on one side of the room, whilst I was 'Cutting Shapes' on the other side... She caught my attention in bible studies.

You see the thing is whether Godly or ungodly, I caught feelings for her...

Guys cast your mind back to your first teenage crush. WOW! If I had a jar collecting £1 for every minute I had spent on MSN back then... I would certainly be a millionaire right now. I probably wouldn't be doing this. No I'm joking I would still be doing this.

During my short life on this earth I've fallen for different kind of girls, black, white, asian, smart, not so smart and even those that try to play dumb. But my perception changed on female company when I decided to dedicate my life to Christ. I said I was giving up on allowing myself to catch feelings until I felt that God had placed that special lady in my life, someone who would give me the thought to marry her one day.

"The Lord God said, "it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." (Genesis 2:18 NIV)

Now presuming you have someone special in your life, ask yourself this...What actracts you to her?

1. Physical features

2. Personality

3. Reputation

4. Fear of God maybe?

It's a known saying and belief that 'beauty lies in the eye of the beholder', so on that note my personal outlook on a women her physical attractiveness, might not be the same for you. You must not forget that the outer appearance is all well and good, but assess what isreally deep inside of them.

What doesn't your naked eyes see about them, that deep down God can see about them? The kind person they are and heart they have is determined from the inside.

"But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person" (Matthew 15:18 ESV)

Things to take into consideration when perusing a christian relationship:

1. Just because she's in church does not mean she is delivered. Be careful not to be dragged into SIN with her. No one is worth going to hell over.

"Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous women, from the wayward women with her seductive words" (Proverbs 2:16 NIV)

2. Let Jesus LEAD you, not your emotions. I'm more than confident that he knows the best women for you.

For my thoughts are not your thought, neither are your ways my ways. Declares The Lord (Isaiah 55:8)

3. Don't rush into anything, and in everything seek the advise of God appointed minsters, e.g a pastor or even someone older than you who is able to provide you with sound advice about relationships.

4. Does she really love God?

As much as your feelings grow for each other, you should always make God the centre of the relationship. Seek for a women that is after God's heart more than she is for yours. Her relationship with God will determine the relationship she has withyou and others.

So therefore incorporate bible studies and pray together in order to increase your spiritual walk with God.

"Can two walk together, unless they have agreed?" (Amos 3:3)
